Issues on this project included schedule delays, support column footing fabrication, roll forming of curved roof beams for the pool enclosure, HVAC problems causing condesnation to rain down from the pool ceiling, spalling of the pool deck safety coating, and failure of the contractor's sworn statements to balance with subcontractor and supplier lien waivers.
When it was disclosed that the steel fabrication subcontractor lacked the certifications required by the front end documents, Mr. McConnell successfully negotiated a settlement in which the general contractor bonded over the steel fabricator's claims for extra work correcting improperly shaped roof beams and improperly fabricated tubular column footings, securing an early release of The Public Building Commission from protracted litigation.
